What to do when the results day is coming

The most concerned topics when it comes to A-levels, Foundation and UCAS application results days are discussed and answered in this article. Check out what you need to do next in your UCAS application process.

1. What time do Track and Adviser Track open on results days?
Answer:

SQA results day

Please note:

  • Adviser Track is up-to-date when it goes live on results days, but it is not Updated
  • The Applicant Status Report (ASR) is not updated on results days. You can download the latest ASR from 29 July – more information can be found in the Key dates.

2.  I have been made an unconditional offer – Am I eligible for Adjustment?   
Answer:  This depends on how the unconditional offer was made to you, as Adjustment can only be used by applicants who have  met and exceeded  their conditional firm offer.

If you were originally offered a conditional firm, and this was confirmed by the university, then you may be eligible for Adjustment, if you met and exceeded the conditions of their offer. 

If you were made an unconditional offer from the outset, they would not be Eligible for Adjustment.


3. What will I receive on results day?
Answer:  
You will receive timely emails on SQA and A level results days to support your decision-making. Depending on the status of your application, you will receive useful links and relevant information – whether you are placed, unplaced, or conditional (still awaiting a decision ).

Adviser Track subscribers who are Education counsellors will receive an email with a list of students who have not had their places confirmed, along with the options available. We as your Education Counsellors will look out for available options to you and assist your application for UCAS Clearing In case your UCAS results are not as expected.

4. How does the direct contact service work?
Answer:  It allows universities and colleges to contact unplaced applicants who are eligible for Clearing, Enabled them to speak to applicants and talk to them about suitable places on courses they have available.
