Hi UKEC folks,

As September is approaching, this is the season for students to prepare for their departure to university. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year, there has been some changes unlike past years such as quarantine and studying from home.

This week, we've got the latest updates regarding Quarantine,  Clearing, Studying Remotely Policy and lastly, Deposit Payment.

Please read it through and don't forget to contact us if you need any further helps regarding UK university applications and student visa process.

<University of St Andrews>

University of St Andrews has finally confirmed that they received approval from the Scottish Government to allow students from Red Listed countries to go into managed isolation in specified blocks of the university’s halls of residence (DRA) rather than airport hotels.

This means that if you’re coming to join University of St Andrews from Red Listed countries, you should follow the guidance here.

If you have any questions regarding entry requirement, pre-departure preparation and vaccination, please contact the Advice and Support Centre, theasc@st-andrews.ac.uk

<City, University of London>

As this is almost at the end of Clearing season, there are very limited places for Clearing. This is the same for City, University of London. They have very limited spaces available on some of our courses in Clearing, therefore you should hurry up now. You can make an application in Clearing on their website.

The full list of subject areas that are still open, please contact us on WhatsApp. (Click the WhatsApp icon on the left side of tab.)

<University of Derby>

University of Derby announced that they will run a mixture of online and face to face study during autumn semester.  However in line with government guidelines and the changing outlook in relation to Covid-19 around the world, the University have reviewed the criteria and process for remote study requests.

  • Students on some programmes (view list) can request to study remotely where they are affected by travel restrictions. For example, where government guidance does not permit travel to the UK.
  • Courses that are not on the list will not be available for remote study and students will be expected to travel to Derby as usual.

For more information, please visit their website.

<University of Bradford>

This is a reminder if you’re planning to join University of Bradford this September intake: you need to pay your deposit AND you should have your documents ready by 3 September

If you’re a postgraduate applicant at University of Bradford, you must pay your deposit by 20 August.

Please understand that this is to allow the team to process your CAS requests in time.
