The University of Southampton (occasionally abbreviated as Soton) is a public university located in Southampton, England. Southampton is a research intensive university and a founding member of the Russell Group of elite British universities. The origins of the university date back to the founding of the Hartley Institution in 1862 following a legacy to the Corporation of Southampton by Henry Robinson Hartley. In 1902, the Institution developed into the Hartley University College, with degrees awarded by the University of London. On 29 April 1952, the institution was granted a Royal Charter to give the University of Southampton full university status. #MSc Finance (Accounting and Finance)#

上学期三门必修课，SA和资本市场和Management Account 。SA蛮有意思，哈哈 ，因为管的很严，还有期中考试呢南安城市挺好的，气候在英国特别棒，不冷不热而且不常下雨我们学校学习氛围很浓郁 ，学校图书馆还有洗澡的地方，哈哈，最近经常有学生在图书馆熬夜。

#MSc Finance and economics #

1、班上总共50多人吧，中国人占九成

2、学习考核以考试为主，平时作业很少️，占总成绩的比例也很低。课程对数学要求较高️，第一学期开学前两周有高强度的数学课，不占学分。期末考试科目很多，压力大

3、学校生活不算方便，离市区较远，学校附近餐厅较少。住宿需要权衡自己是要多去学校还是看重生活的便利和舒适度。前者可以选学校附近住，不然推荐住在市区。南安普顿是小城市生活恬静，交通较为便捷，娱乐购物选择少。

# MSc Finance and Economics#

1.第一学期三门课全是必修，第二学期5门有2门是必修。最难的是计量，第二学期选修课几乎都和计量挂边，所以要抢在前面选课不然留在最后的是纯计量的选修，这种挂的很多。 

2.宿舍建议住校外学生公寓，性价比更高。校内宿舍非常不透气，夏天室内比室外热很多，而且设施有些宿舍非常老旧。 

3.学校的后勤做得挺好的，学术氛围特别浓厚，图书馆就更浓厚了。由于所有unilink都会经过学校，所以交通很便利。学校里面和外面附近都有超市餐厅，日用品够了。买衣服可以去市中心west quey买，有zara、HM、new look这种。 

4.每周一学校还会在超市门口开小的农贸市场，当地农民来卖新鲜蔬果，很便宜。
