The University of Leeds is a redbrick university located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Originally named the Yorkshire College of Science and later simply the Yorkshire College, it incorporated the Leeds School of Medicine and became part of the federal Victoria University alongside Owens College (which eventually became the University of Manchester) and University College Liverpool (which became the University of Liverpool).In 1904, a royal charter, created in 1903, was granted to the University of Leeds by King Edward VII. The university has around 33,500 students,the eighth-highest number of any university in the UK.From 2006 to present, the university has consistently been ranked second in the United Kingdom for the number of applications received, second only to the University of Manchester.Leeds had a total income of £547.3 million in 2010/11, of which £124 million was from research grants and contracts.The university has financial endowments of £49.3 million (2009–10), ranking outside the top ten British universities by financial endowment. The university is a founding member of the Russell Group of research-intensive universities, the N8 Group for research collaboration,the Worldwide Universities Network, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the European University Association, the White Rose University Consortium, the Santander Network and CDIO and is also affiliated to the Association of MBAs, EQUIS and Universities UK. Leeds is ranked nationally between 19th (Times Higher Education) and 28th (The Guardian). Internationally, the university is ranked as the 41st best in Europe and globally ranked 97th in the 2014 QS World University Rankings and 101–150 (2014 ARWU). 1. 我第一学期有五门必修，还没有选修，课程总体难度还好，只有Effective decision making比较难，因为是心理学加数学加哲学的结合……课前需要做大量reading，建议做好准备再去上课。
2. 住宿建议住校外学生公寓，比学校宿舍条件好，走路十几分钟到教室，也挺方便。
3. 学校地理位置有点偏，但是交通很方便，有公交到学校正门，并且利兹学术氛围很好，大家都有在很认真学习，并且学校自然环境也很棒，旁边还有公园，空气非常清新。

1.法学专业语言课考核占比80%写2000字essay，20%seminar（给出话题小组讨论），专业不同上课形式和内容也有区别。
2.平时布置的作业需要认真完成，对最后完成论文有帮助。
3.学校宿舍中Central Village位置最好，离学校很近，中午上完课可以回去睡午觉。iQ Marsden House 和 The Tannery也不错，离学校不远，走路十几分钟。

上半学期一共5门课程，有一门是宏观的，这学期也有这门课。以前过年就是去亲戚 家串门拜年，我们学校有春晚，学联办的。感觉利兹的生活还是蛮安逸的，没有想象中那么困难。

#MSc Economic#
1、专业人数40人左右（中国人非常多）老师构成的话非亚裔老师占百分之九十，一年上过一位中国老师的课。学习的形式Lecture+Seminar；
2、利兹这个城市很方便，消费的价格不会过高。住宿就是要提前找好～其实这边的食物并不是很适合中国人的饮食，不过好在学校外的中餐馆的水平还是OK的利兹相对来讲就是一个大学生的城市，吃喝玩乐其实都有，生活下来绝对没问题当然还是少一些奶茶店、优衣库这些比较适合亚洲人的店。但是不是什么大问题，四十分钟火车的曼彻斯特都能满足 ；
3、关于就业规划学校刚开学就会有就业指导的一两个讲座，另外学校有专门的career center，可以预约时间去进行就业方向的指导以及简历制作的指导，只要有关就业方面的问题都可以去career center。
4、想对学弟学妹说：想要锻炼自己多跟local接触的话就需要自己去找机会，多参加社团活动也行，志愿者活动也可以。学习是一定不能放松的，这一年并不轻松，国外对于考核的要求跟国内是很不一样的。‼️‼️特别要注意的是不能有抄袭，这一点是学校老师也会多次强调的，论文课一定要认真听。

#International Business MSc#
1.我们学校就在这个市的市中心。所以步行就可以到想去的地方；生活的话，因为城市小去哪里都比较方便；而且我们学校地理位置比较好，去哪里旅游，都是当天来回；
2.我们专业有十二门课，好像是利兹大学课程最多的专业，国际贸易学的就是国际贸易理论，经济学创新以及文化方面的课程，全部都是考试。利兹国贸专业只有Economics一本书，其他的都是PPT；
3.和国内不太一样的是我们学院中午一点下课，然后接着上课，不吃午饭，下午喝下午茶，还是非常另类的，学校也有健身房的；
4.超市购物的话，Sansbury和Tesco太贵啦，建议可以去Morison，超市比较亲民，挺不错的
