1881 - Nottingham’s first civic college Nottingham's first civic college was opened in the city centre in 1881, four years after the foundation stone was laid by former Prime Minister, W E Gladstone. An anonymous benefactor had offered £10,000 for a college on condition that a suitable building be erected by the Council and that the college should be provided with £4,000 a year. 1928 - The move to University Park After the First World War, the college outgrew its original building. A generous gift by Sir Jesse Boot, of 35 acres of land at Highfields, presented the solution and in 1928 the College moved to what is now the main campus, University Park. Initially, it was accommodated in the elegant Trent Building and was officially opened by King George V in November of that year. Even in its early days on this site, the College attracted high profile visiting lecturers including Professor Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi and H G Wells. 1948 – Becoming The University of Nottingham In 1948, the college was awarded the Royal Charter and became The University of Nottingham, now able to award degrees in its own name. #MSc Marketing#
1、专业人数大概120人左右，上课形式比较多样 Seminar Lecture Workshop都有；考试比较难，但是老师会分享ppt考试的考场很大可以快容纳上千人（体育场考试）；
2、诺丁汉是一个很适合学习的城市，生活成本不高比较安逸～超市中超商场都有牛排甜品 都很好吃且去伦敦三个小时大巴就可抵达；
3、 诺丁汉商学院有一个career program team专门负责学生就业，学校有个官网上会有全球各地的就业岗位，各取所需；
4、对学弟学妹说：留学这一年一定会很充实，如果时间允许建议可以找一个和专业相对匹配的工作对你的留学生活会有各种帮助。

#Finance and Investment MSc#
1.课程学习不难，如果有一定的基础，计量经济学再好一点，上课好好听都没问题；课程有7门必修，2门选修；必修里有一门算是基础课，学计量的，我们专业偏投资，所以计量用的多；数学要求不高，都是会用就行，本科有金融背景，学过高数和计量的会相对轻松，不然会很痛苦；考试是都是考试＋coursework的形式，比重每科不一样；
2.住宿是学校的宿舍，我觉得非常好，不贵，120镑一周；
3.学校环境很好，位置也很方便，我们学校校区太多了，有一个主校区，就是个大公园，我是在Jubilee Campus；商科，计算机，教育和工程学院都是在这边；
4.建议学弟学妹们来的时候多带点零食，衣服的话，女生还是国内带吧，这里卖的衣服我觉得不是很适合咱们亚洲人；
5.我觉得WHSmith Boots Tesco的Meal Deal还挺香，英国的烤鸡还挺好吃的，就那种印巴人的小店，味道比Nando's好多了还便宜。

#MSc Nutritional Sciences#
1.第一学期和第二学期是各有3门主课，期中有一门Systematic Review in Nutrition是没有考试的，需要写5000字的论文，其他考试是分A&B卷的形式。
2.Systematic Review in Nutrition这门课程上1-2个月的时间，其他的课程主要是研究方向的，如果没有学过营养学基础的同学学起来会比较困难，建议可以学临床营养学专业，对未来国内的工作比较有帮助。
3.语言课：5周的语言课非常有用，建议语言成绩够得学生也读一下5周的语言课，对上课做作业都很有帮助。语言课上课是在诺丁汉的主校区。
4.宿舍在去念书之前定好了语言课和正课的宿舍，营养学正课和语言课不在一个校区，搬宿舍的学弟学妹们一定要注意啦，学校会有welecom的邮件，要注意回复一下可以预定学校免费的搬运行李~。
5.课本在图书馆借书就可以，不用买哦。
6.就业想去雀巢，安利等食品的公司做营养分析相关的工作。

#Information Systems and Operations Management MSc#
1.House住着很不错，五个人共用一个厨房，语言课期间是75镑每周，到上主课的时候估计90镑每周，住起来很不错，很省心，服务比较好，包清洁等各项服务；
2.课程第一学期以计算机为主，主要是大数据和云计算的学习；第二学期以数据和管理为主，会涉及数据分析，风险控制和质量管理的学习；会有上机课和调研，还是比较偏实践的，但是课程设置偏难
3.语言课考试形式会有论文, Presentation, Reflection；语言班为小班授课，不超过15人，上课的时候偏学术，小组讨论比较多，课下老师会讲如何和当地人相处，老师都很友好。
